2005 AT Coupe with 70k, seems to have been unabused. But I have no maintenance records. I know the scheduled maintenance on some many fluids is often overkill, but that's another discussion. I want to make sure this car has its best so what should be done for her at this point??? I foresee:

1. Oil Change
2. Rear Diff Fluid Change
3. Cabin Air Filter
4. Engine Air Filter
5. Coolant Good
6. Safety basics are fine lights, etc. Has new brakes, tires...

Others? AT fluid swap?

Thx

have you gone to the dealer and checked if they have records?

Belts?
Tranny Fluid should be done, not sure if 70k is high enough that you should not change it.

All of the above along with AT flush and brake fluid. Since you no longer have a warranty I'd replace engine/trans and differential with synthetic fluids, your coupe will thank you. Like I've mentioned numerous time before, find a independent mechanic to do some of the above mentioned maintenance work. Or check our DIY vids to save some $....

^ Do you think the tranny/diff fluid should be flushed at the dealer only?

Get an indy shop to do the work. But for AUto tranny. Make sure you get OEM automatic fluid.

Give your vin number to the dealer and they can pull up the records...they will tell you whats needed. Or, if you have the maintenance manual along with the car, it will tell u what to do at 70K.

i would definitely go a little more in depth with it....

this is what i would do.

1. the first thing you should do is run some powerful fuel line cleaner through your fuel system, and seafoam the engine as well.

2.(oil change after 150 miles of driving after seafoaming) after the seafoam drive the car for 150 miles to let the seafoam work its self in and then change your oil filter and new oil synthetic only 5w-30

3. new air fllter ( dont get the k&n drop in filter as they are pre oiled and can sometimes cause issues for your MAS, i recommend the blitz air filter which is a dry type and it is cheaper and the best oem replcement)

4. tranny fluid ( use this stuff for your diff and tranny fluids, nissan specially made it for VQ engines and it is a miracle product for our cars http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=7590

5. diif fluid (you can use the same for both tranny and diff http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=7590)

6. spark plugs (ngk iridium IX)

7. belts replaced (driving belt and accessorie belt)

that should take care of a very nice full clean setup and your maintenance is checked off for a while on the vehicle and just keep doing regular synthetic oil changes every 5k miles,

this will give you a great start to your used vehicle and if you do all these steps the engine will be running very clean and will treat you well.

REMEMBER BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ON YOUR VEHICLE INCLUDING MODS OF ANY TYPE YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE YOUR MAINTENANCE AT 100% COMPLETE.

this is my list of priorities when it comes to my G
