Stupid lug nuts

I bought my 06 coupe last friday, drove it 6 hours home from the dealr i got it and i notice it has locking lug nuts, they looked like OEM nissan nuts but when i took it to the nissan dealership the keys they had wouldnt even fit in the lug hole of the wheel (aftermarket wheels)

none of the keys at advance fit it
and i cant even drive the car because if i get a flat i cant change the tire

anyone else have this problem before

so you're not driving the car at all in fear that you'll get a flat?

did you check the glove box for the key? did the dealer use a master key? post a picture of the actual lock.

I'd advise that you put sonr rags or somthing around your rim where you are swinging the hammer so you dont miss and damage your wheel. Good luch.

Living life thru chemistry..........or did you look in
the glovebox for the key?

no sir, i dont want to leave the car on the side of the road and have to have it towed anywhere so im not driving it.

im a couple hours away at college right now with my daily driver and the G is in the garage at home

ive pretty much stripped the car looking for the key, glove box, under seats, center console, rear center console, took everything out of the trunk, took the spare out, looked in the first aid kit, looked in the other leather thing with the manuals
no dice.

right now my old man took the car to the closest reputable tire shop and they are trying the hammer a socket onto the nut technique
so i'll know within the hour if they had any luck

So your "Old Man" is taking care of this for you, what a nice DAD! I hope that socket removal works for you, chances are the lock is somewhere inside your G35....glove/map box or trunk.

gary: I may find it somewhere down the road, but i swear i feel like live torn that thing apart haha

good news is the shop was able to get the locking nuts off in about 15-20 minutes
plus a guy in the shop wants to buy the wheels on it which i was going to get rid of anyway

win / win
