I buy cars to drive them, not to have them sit in the garage and depreciate.

I'd rather enjoy my car than be able to brag that I have a 20 year old car with 30k miles on it!

My neighbor had an 02 or 03 BMW M3, had like 18k miles on it and at the end of the day they still got crap money for it on a trade in last year regardless of the fact that it had low miles. What a waste! Had I known what they got for it, I would have bought it off them, drove it for awhile and still sold it at a profit. At 18k miles, they never even had a chance to enjoy that thing!

Not to mention, the whole notion of high vs. low mileage cars is a mess: a well-maintained 10 year old car with 100,000k on the clock is likely in better shape mechanically then the same car with 30k miles on the clock since an engine wants to be lubricated on a very regular basis (i.e. every 2-3 days max) to keep all the seals etc. in good condition.

I have an 03 that has 190xxx on it. I had to replace the valve cover gasket. 60 bucks. belts when i bought it. 50 bucks.

only real problem ive had is my control arm bushings wore out, probly bc anyone i let drive forgets to watch out for potholes lol, thats a pretty good chunk of change... about 400.

engine runs fine. no problems at all. trans is fine, and its an auto.

Made it to 51k before getting a new engine due to OC. New engine only has about 800 miles on it so far. I'm sure the car will fall apart around the enigine.

I'm at 80k now and its running great I previously had an 02 Maxima w/ 158k on it and it also ran perfectly. The VQ is a petty durable engine as long as you take care of it it will take care of you.
