Radio mutes

when my Bose radio is playing it randomly mutes for couple seconds and then turns back on, it is weird i think it mostly happens when i first turn on my car , couple minutes into it. does this happen to anyone else?

I have almost the same exact problem, mine will get extremely quite and distorted then slowly start building and will be ok after a while.. I was wondering the same thing so somebody help us out!

Do you have navigation? You could possibly have a destination set and its muting the radio to give you directions, but your voice commands could be muted? Only thing I can think of.

Give the side of the center console by the radio a bang with your fist when your radio is on, if it cuts out your radio has a bad connection inside. I see this quite often.

I dont have nav so thats not what it is and yeah i was thinking a bad connection.. im gettin subs put in so how much do you think it would cost to get this checked out?

mine is doing it but with only the left side and in CD mode, it will turn almost all they way down on the left side and the right side will still sound good. what is it?
