VDC supposed to scare the ***t out of you?

Hi, i was curious if anyone else feel's that the VDC on the g35 makes the car feel unsafe? I was driving on an onramp today, a VERY long swooping right turning on ramp, probably only going 65mph and all of the sudden my car staggers and dips left. The best way i can explain the feeling is as if the left wheel when totally flat and filled up again in the middle of the onramp. Definately scared the **** out of me. The "slip" light turned on as well. I took the onramp again same speed and turned off the vdc, and nothing. It felt smooth and fast... Can anyone explain whats going on? I understand the concept of traction control but is it really THAT sensitive?

There is no way the VDC makes the car unsafe, sounds like your turn angle was sharp enough and maybe there were bumps in the off ramp causing your left rear wheel to slip a little "according to the VDC sensors" which caused the VDC to activate.and cut power.

You might want to take your off ramps a little easier.

yeah, makes an awful sound when it engages but i rather hear that than the screech of my G sliding across the pavement, hopping a curb, hitting a bus bench, crushing the homeless man, ruining my suspension, having blood and human waste splatter onto my paint and BBK and all onto my under carriage... but i digress.

I havent had the VDC light come on in my G yet. In my I35 the noise would always startle me.

yea, maybe something is wrong with my car because it doesnt feel helpful at all. It litteraly makes the car feel unstable. Its not that im powering through these turns or trying to get the rear loose, it just feels like its a little too sensitive.

maybe your tires are bald?

I know when I had my old tires that were pretty bald VDC would pop on even going slow around a fairly sharp turn
