See ^ you're better off doing what rob suggested. All of a sudden this thread is about Brembo's not about answers to your question. Hawk pads using the "Bed/Break in Process" should double/tripple the life of your pads, it did for me.

Here`s what I did

http://www.6mt.net/forum/g35-coupe/3...blackdash.html

Just FYI

They perform like stock except the first/second instance when applying the brakes. They need to be warmed up a little.

I have 04' G35 with with Brembo. I purchased the StopTech on eBay. They work well and are cheap in price. They make them for non-Brembo G35.

[QUOTE=Revo;5062181]Stock sliders better than Brembo's? No offense, but what are you on? QUOTE]

Stock 03-04 Brembos are not the god's gifts to earth that owners seem to think they are, sorry, what are you on and where have you been hiding?
Now, aftermarket Brembos might be a different thing but, they're pretty good coin, not cheap at all. If you actually read through the brake threads here, you will find that 05-06 sport package brakes, are an actual upgrade and possibly better than old Brembos, sorry.

lol thanks guys. I figure I'll just get the oem pads. lol. I don't plan on doing any track days anytime soon. And This is why its hard to find out answers for non brembo owners, cuz the brembo people start throwing their 2 cents in.

Well, when people start telling you your brakes work better than they actually do, someone need to step in or your next thread will be cheap replacement bumpers and headlights when you nail someone.

If you just want a good DD pad, the OEM is perfectly fine and lasts a very long time. It obviously has plenty of stopping power and very low dust. I have Hawk HPS pads and they are good quality and only a couple bucks more than OEM. You dont notice a difference unless under high speed braking.

Stock 05-06 brakes with blank oem rotors and racing pads will out perform factory Brembos any day.
BTW - it's not true that you can't turn Brembo rotors. I have done so on my rear rotors with no problems.

Correct. The Brembo rotors on my STi were turned by the dealer at about 30,000 miles no problems. I don't think they can be turned more than once or twice though.

As for the dusting with the Brembos, that's inherent with the stock pads. Most of the STi guys ditched them for Hawk HPS or Axxis Ultimates. Less dust, cheaper, and equal stopping power.

I've never heard of anyone turning them before so that would be a first. They are considered to be like BMW/Audi/VW/Mini brakes where the rotors are not meant to be turned.
