Center armrest swap

Hi everyone,

I've spent several hours searching between here and 6mt forums and still have not got the answer for my question. I have an 03 6mt and would like to change just the center arm rest area. I am tire of bumping my starbucks with my elbow while i shift. Does anyone know if 05-07 6mt armrest fit the 03? I would love to have my cup holder along side the seat instead where my elbow is. Any help or pointer would be really awesome.

Thank you

do you have the 2003.5 where it has a center leather armrest? If i'm not mistaken, anything prior to 2003.5 has the no-armrest center where the cup holder sits way in the back, inside the compartment(which I happen to have). You could try getting those but the only drawback is that it doesn't have the armrest. See below

Do you have any pic or ran into any problem installing this?

That is exactly what i have. It's so annoying. I kept elbowing my drinks and then having to clean up the compartment

huh, kinda confused here...you have the no-armrest center console? You must have really long elbows to be knocking over your starbucks when shifting lol...the cup holder location is practically at the rear seats!

The ones you speak of with the cup holders slighty to the front/right might be more of risk since you'll probably hit it when you're shifting into Reverse or 6th gear, wouldn't it?

Not too familiar with car vocab. I thought all center console that you lay your arm on is arm rest Either way, putting my drink in front would be a bit easier to get too instead of twisting my body completely sideway to pick up or put down my drinks. I can't see why a semi luxury car can't have a decent cup holder placement
