Naw. 3rd gear in a 5AT will take you to 80-85 until it redlines. So if you're doing 60-70 and drop it into 3rd, you'll be at fairly high RPM, but will pass quickly too.

I wanna do this. It seems much more natural. Like when you're accelerating, the car leans back, so it seems more natural to pull back. And when down shifting, the car hunches forward, so it seems more natural to push it. I'mma have to find this mod.

Also, for you AT guys, do you let the tranny downshift by itself in MM when you're slowing down? i.e. I'm going from 40 to a stop, do you downshift using the ****, or do you let it downshift on it's own? I always push the **** to downshift.

i only ever downshift when I need to make a screeching halt. its been kind of a problem since i've switched the direction of the **** haha. but seriously, its too jerky for me to do all the time.

I downshift to 3rd and let the tranny do the rest. When I do downshift.

I have a tendency to forget the car is in MM mode, so I forget to downshift.

Leave your foot on the pedal, lol. That's the beauty of MM mode.

if it rev-matches, then you're fine... it'll tell the engine speed to speed up and result in little to no jerk

^^^+1

Downshifting from 3rd to 2nd to 1st would cause more work for the tranny so I only downshift to 3rd to slow the car down a little and let the tranny do the rest
