05 G35 Coupe shakes at 70mph

My car shakes at 70-80mph when I put my 20inch Axis shines on but doesnt shake when I have my OEM 19inch on with Blizzaks. Dealer says its the rotors?? Is this possible?

Did the shop that installed your 20" Axis Shines put spacers? I have 20" Axis Penta before and they came with spacers.

I just dealt with the same issue and it actually turned out my rear left brake caliper was locking up when the brakes were engaged. When we put the car up on the lift we gave it some gas then hit the brakes then the gas again, the rear wheel was stuck. New caliper and rear pads and i was gtg!

yeah, caliper seized up should be easy to tell. just spin the tires when you have the car off the ground. otherwise, balance your tires properly. and i would suggest an alignment with the new tires as well.

You probably just need the fronts to be balanced.

check the rims to insure there are no bends. if there arent any bends, you probably need to balance your tires. If that doesnt remedy the problem, you may have bad tires.

If you brake fine then your rotors are fine.

A few questions, when you installed the Axis wheels did they also include/install wheel centering devices? (rings that go on the hub) Without them you'll always have a balance issue cause your wheel isn't centered. If you have those on your wheels/hub then you need to have your setup rebalanced. They can tell when balancing your tires if you wheels are out of round. (bent) Rotors being warped will normally show up when you hit the brake pedal which will make your steering wheel vibrate. To what degree depends on how bad they're warped.

make sure you don't have directional tires facing the wrong way
