Where does the outside air come in for the heater? I've got some bad odor coming through the heat and AC and have already changed the filter with no avail. I'm thinking there may be some debris stuck in the piping that's causing the foul odors. I know there has to be some piping somewhere behind the dash to feed in fresh air from the outside. I've tried to deodorize the interior ducts with lysol by spraying it in through where the filter is with the fan on and and it worked somewhat but now the smell is back. Also when I changed the filter I found some chew holes and mouse droppings which may be the culprit and hence why I need to locate the air inlet for further inspection and cleaning. Any insight on this would be great.

^^ Doesn't it feel good?? And to think at one point you were considering leaving us because you got a little flak in one of your first threads.

Anyone know how horrible exhaust fumes creeps into our cabin? I was driving behind a Porche 911 the other night and it was burning rubber or oil as it was driving like an azz by me.
As it was taking off, the huge cloud of dark fumes were left behind. Anyways, I had all my windows up, Air was turned off. Yet, somehow, the horrible smell crept into my cabin. I had to open all my windows to get the smell out.

Air will always find its way into the cabin. Otherwise people would suffocate.

^ True, but it's weird how I never experience this with any other car. Unless I have the fans on set on "fresh air"...

When I don't have the heater on, heat still comes through the vents. Been like that with every car I've owned.
turn the heat settings to 60, then power off, that helps bring in cooler air while the system is off.
