New G35 owner ready to mod

Hello all,
I got my 04 G35 Coupe a little over a month ago. After reading posts and looking at everyone else's photo gallery, I am happy to say that I have been bitten by the so called "mod bug"!!! My ride is currently bone stock, and I want to get started with wheels and tires. I want to do 18s with Enkei Racing PF01 wheels. What do you guys think of these wheels on a G? I also would like to get a big brake kit next with red calipers...purely for the aesthetics! Looking forward to learning (and spending) a lot over the next few months!!!

Well first off you should plan ahead, if you're getting a BBK you should make sure it's gonna fit with the rims first, which I don't think it would with 18" Enkei's. I'm not a big rim guy though so I'm not sure, but I'm sure other people will chime in.

BTW, just pointing this out, but a BBK is expensive, you could get a lot of other aesthetic mods for that amount of money.

not feeling those rims bro. but if you search for a bbk hard enough you can find used kits for a good prices. i bought my 13" Rotora 4/4 BBK with crossed/drilled rotors for $1800 shipped.

happy modding

I'm definitely gonna find out if the rims would clear the bbk thanks for pointing it out Darkstar. I liked a couple of wheels but they were a little steep in price so I figured the PF01s would be a good alternative.

O Hella did you get that sweet deal on your bbk here in this forum? I just started looking at some last night and oh jeebus I almost fell out of my chair with those prices! I'm willing to shop around a while for the bbk and focus on the wheels for now.

I would recommend going with 19" rims - 18's look small on a coupe in my opinion... especially if you are gonna go with a BBK in the future

also - what color is your car?

I looked into getting those same rims and was told by 2 different vendors that they would clear my OEM brembos not sure about any other BBKs but if they won't and you like that style check out the GTC01 they come in 19" but are a bit more $$$

Never look forward to spending money my friend, no matter what the outcome may be. Instead of those wheels I'd advise you to check out the Rota Torque. Yes I know, they're Rotas and I'll argue till my death because they've always worked perfectly for me, and they're relatively cheap. Just a suggestion...

Also putting in a vote for 19" wheels, I just got a set of 19's for my car, they look so, so much better than my 18" stockers.

if you want 18s, stick with the OEM 18s.

go 19" or 20" if you plan on getting a BBK!
