Help In Removing Inner Door Handle Trim

Hello,

Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the interior driver side fake aluminum door trim?

The previous owner had a huge watch and he managed to scratch up the trim a bit.

I have all the interior panel removal tools but the trim looks like it's difficult to remove so before I tackle this small job I figured maybe someone here could give me advice.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex

(I'm not too mechanically inclined and I'm afraid that I will cause more $$$ damage to the interior if I do something wrong.)

There's a little notch on the bottom thats used for popping it off. Use a small screwdriver and it should pry right off.

LOL It's true. When I did mine I had to take a deep breath because it felt as if I would snap one of the clips off. BTW, OP I painted mine flat black and it looks very nice.

Thank you guys!

I saw the little slot to pry the trim off. Now I'm gonna have to call upon my gorilla strength to remove them, hopefully I don't break anything....

Wrap the screwdriver in electrical tape. Make sure to pull the piece towards you. Most other methods will damage the plastic since it is so soft.
