Question about my wing

Ok...so I bought my car used and apparently it did not originally come with a wing. The person before me had the dealer install one, I guess its an 07 wing since mines an 07 but dunno. The paint is bubbling on the wing and the dealer wont cover it. So my question is how do I know if the dealer drilled holes in my trunk or not? Id rather just save the money in having it painted by just removing the wing if its just held on there by double sided tape but I dont want to take it off and find holes....any advice guys? I know noob question.

If the dealer was the one to install it, I would guess that they drilled holes into the trunk since that is the correct way to put it on. Doubt that they would half *** it by just using tape. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

also, how the heck do you get the stock wing off if there were screws and/or tape? I dont see any screws in the trunk. I took the padding thing off on the inside, Ive also never done this haha

It's very unusual that you'd have paint issues with a OE wing since they come from the factory already painted. It would be less expensive just to have a bodyshop repaint your wing rather than remove it. Yes, they're bolted/taped on which includes a gaskett to prevent rust....

No idea why its doing that but the right corner is all bubbled up and they wont cover it. FML haha. Thanks for the info, Im gonna go down to my bodyshop guy and ask how much, I also have these weird dents in the center of the trunk where the fuji symbol used to be, its a diamond shape two dents go in and two pop out....freakin weird. Gonna get that done too. Im just worried bout how much it will be since im a little strapped for cash now. Thanks for the help

To remove those small dents in your trunk lid go by one of those paintless dent removal shops like Dent Masters or Dent Man. My shop charges me $65 per pannel and there's nothing else involved and won't take more than 30 minutes.... STOP going the the dealership for brakes/tires, find an independent brake/alignment shop in your area you can trust....I just saved you more $$!

I didnt think about paintless dent removal...hmmm interestinggggggg. I only went to the dealer for a noise in my front end, which ended up being scalloped tires. Im going to my mechanic to get the brakes and alignment done...wayyyyy cheaper. Im so mad about the tires though...

edit: you really thought I was dumb enough to get brakes done at a dealer?? Come on now haha

One never knows, I can guarantee you we have many members that run to the STEALERSHIP for every little thing their G needs....tires, brakes and alignment. Three things will make your tires last alignment, balance and the correct tire pressure 35/37 PSI.

haha Im not one of them thankfully. I just wanted to find out the noise, I think when I bought my car the dealer did a hack alignment and thats what caused it. The tires only have about 5 thousand miles on them =(
