what car
Re: what car
There are backseats in the coupe, but if you dont want to keep pulling the seat forward go with a sedan. Either coupe or sedan, they are great cars.

Re: what car
SUV or minivan is the way to go... your back will agree with me. We had two sedans when we had our first child and it worked out just fine, but 2 years ago we got an SUV and it's a big improvement when it comes to loading the kids in and buckling them up.
Sometimes when I bend over to strap my 18month old in the back seat of my sedan, I wish I had the height and space of my wife's Sequioa or a Toyota Sienna... comfy, comfy, comfy for the kids... and my back.

Re: what car
Will this be your only vehicle? Are there other's riding with you? Do you road trip much to see family (you'll carry more stuff)?
You'll want the sedan if you are looking at a G35. Strapping a car seat in the back of the coupe on a regular basis would grow old VERY fast. I did it with my first kids in a Mitsubishi Mirage 3 door. Took all of about 3 months to move to a Saturn 4 door. They load themselves now.
I like mini-vans with kids more than an SUV. Big sliding doors make loading kids in and out far easier than an SUV. Mini-vans have more cargo ability than all but the largest SUV's and get better mileage to boot. And when the kid gets bigger (which they do) he/she can climb into a mini-van much easier, as can grandma and grandpa.
But hey, get what you can afford and meets your requirements and tastes.

Re: what car
If it's the only vehicle that you will have in the household, then I would reconsider. I have a 9 month old and another one on the way. I bought the coupe when my wife was 7 months pregnant with our first child and do not have any regrets. I can't say I really enjoy putting him in the backseat and taking him out because of the limited space. That's when my wife's minivan comes in handy. Basically, if there isn't a second vehicle, I would consider a sedan or like someone mentioned the FX.
