I need your help to make my case :)

ok me and my friend are arguing back and forth here..so i need you guys to prove my point..lol

I have a few scratches on my fender...now i want to get them removed, if i take it to a body shop can they just remove the scratches off without repainting the entire part?..like just sand down the scratches and cover them, then apply the paint.

Idk about your question but look here, this is what I used for highway road chips, scratches, etc. It worked great and way cheaper than a body shop.

You may treat people like that in MD. but that's not how we do things here on DRIVER. We have a member asking for help, if the scratches aren't too deep Dr. Colorchip will work but if they're deep the correct way to fix them would be to have the whole area painted. See Superwhatever that didn't hurt....

they will sand the scratches down, scuff the entire panel, prime the repaired area, paint the repair with basecoat color and blend out past the repair to blend. then they will clear coat the entire panel. if the scratches are near an adjacent panel, they will scuff the adjacent panel and blend out as needed and re-clear that panel as well. depending on which it is, the job should run from $300-$750.

edit: also, i'm pretty sure the post by superchargedg was meant as a joke and not serious. lets lighten up people.
