I wasn't bragging at all about getting a ticket.. It sucks but I understand I was speeding. Def not bragging about 77 either I was cruising and didn't even realize I was speeding. I am use to driving trucks and I can feel the speed a lot easier.

Yea I plan on doing the defensive driving thing so that it does not effect my insurance.

I've been written up for going 10 MPH over not because of the speed but because of what I was driving at the time. Other cars were passing me, but the CHP office pulled me over. When I asked, "Why me when other cars were passing me?" His reply was, "Gotta pull someone over!" Of course I had tint and no front license plate so it just got worse. This is probably the only ticket I didn't deserve....

Had my G for over 4 years. No speeding ticket.

---

I did get a speeding ticket in my S2k though. Thing was hugging the curb like nothing and redlined it out of the turn and the cops caught me.

It's funny because I still have the dealer plate on my car.. He asked me how long I've had the car and I said two weeks. This was after he ran my information and saw that I have never had a ticket for speeding before and said "That didn't take long"

The highways in Cali are very fast compared to here in AZ. I drive between 75 to 85 here and still found it intimidating when I visit L.A. especially with all the bumps and turns and no lights here and there, very fun though.

Cops do not like imports. Driving/owning a G doesn't help. Especially, you have dark tint, loud exhaust, drop, and missing front plate.

The only highway I've ever seen people go 80+ in NorCal is 80. Everyone else is dwindling along at 70 in the left lane in 17/280/580/680/880. >:O

And no, 12 mph isn't dangerous, just speaking from the perspective of the law (65). You think everyone on the road are car enthusiasts who like to live life on the edge and push their car a little bit?

well ive picked up two tickets. 98 in a 70 (in AL) , & 95 in a 70 (in MS 2 DAYS AGO) - i was able to do driving school for the 98. and the people in MS said i have to go to court to possibly get driving school - BOLOGNA! i shouldnt have to appear (i dont think, to request driving school.) if i do go to court (6 hours away) im not guaranteed driving school. where i will end up paying court costs, the ticket, and expense to and from. any one got any suggestions?

Curious, where do you live? I was pulled over by a State Trooper in GA using radar.

Southern Californian freeways that 30-40% of the traffic will go 80mph when its not at a stand still: 5, 15, 8(sometimes), 805. I don't know what its like in LA or north of there.

Of course not all drivers are car enthusiasts, don't know why you would assume I thought that. I don't even know how some people manage to get their licenses in this state.
