gap between hood and bumper normal?

I was wondering if anyone else has this gap between bumper and hood. This car is stock and it doesn't appear that it was hit and/or repainted (at least recently) as there some stone chips on the bumper. Also note the gap between headlight and bumper. The bumper aligns perfectly with fenders though, and is pretty stable.
Thanks for any input.

Thanks, it doesn't look too bad on pic 2 and 3. But on the first one can see that gap. I saw G35 sedan today which appeared to be more aligned, so it got me thinking

That gap around your hood/bumper cover and headlights looks exactly like everyone elses, you're normal....isn't that good to hear?

The gaps will vary slightly with each car - alot of cars are bumped during shipping (in containers) or transit and are in need slight repairs before they are even sold for the first time (these are rarely reported to the customer).

The presses and molds used for making each body panel may also vary slightly (they usually get changed out after a certain number of panels are made from a single mold, so if you got a panel made late in the cycle, it will tend to be a bit different from one made early on).

Also, the headlamps can be re-positioned, which may result in slightly larger gaps on either side.

All of these factors can result in slightly different gaps from car to car. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the gaps on your car, looks fine to me, and I'm a perfectionist!

Yah mine looks almost exactly like that on the driver side. Passenger side is flush though. I figure its "within spec" haha

Yup, perfectly normal. Mine looks just like that. I was wondering about this same thing also but learned through comparison of other G's that this is just they way the bumper fits.

gck, hehe, well I just bought it, that is why first thing that came to my mind is that it was hit. You know you only start noticing these kind of things after deal is closed
