EVAP Purge Control Valve

Got my Kinetix installed and the Purge Control Valve broke.....

My car is an 03 G35...

installer replaced it with his EVAP Purge Control out of his 350Z 06 Rev-Up.

different part numbers but no check engine light. Everything plugged in fine.

What does it do and is it okay for me to be using this newer version in my car?

It allows vapors that accumulate in the vapor canister to vent back to the intake. You can generally hear it clicking right after start up while idling. It opens up for a couple seconds. The pressure switch mounted on the vapor canister sends a signal to ECM which controls solenoid.

Its a standard Nissan solenoid. If the electrical connector works thier is no problem using a newer version.
