Newb looking into getting an 03

What's up everyone!? I'm looking into getting an 03 Coupe, 6MT with 95k miles going for $13k. Should I do it? Should I wait to find something better with lower miles? The only thing I'm worried about is the miles. Like has it been properly maintained, etc. I'm worried about getting the car and as soon as I have it something happens to it. ...because of the high miles. I dunno. I don't know what to do. Oh and checked the carfax...no accidents but has 6 previous owners!!!

TIA
Rico

6 owners isnt good for an 03, i bought my 03 im the 3rd owner got it with 98k currently has 130k but it was taken very very good care of. i’d prob stay away from it and pay around 15k grand get in like an 05 with 60 or 70 - just my thoughts bro good luck in whatever you decide!

Today's market gives you the upper hand. I would wait it out and get one with less miles and owners. Keep in mind, every 10-12K miles is a whole year of someone driving that thing around.

6 is way to many!!!!!
I am the 2nd owner of my car and i knew the previous owner personally. Don't rush into it just keep looking and you will find what you want.
If you ask me if it felt right you wouldn't have to ask if it was a good deal. sounds like your the one thats skeptical about the car. You'll know when you find the right one.

Yeah I've decided not to go with it, 6 owners is just way too many! I was 50/50 on it but you guys have made my decision. Thank you very much!

^If you have maintenance records for the car, no. If you don't, you're going to have more of an issue. Nothing like the issue the 6-owner car would have, but the more owners a car has the more worrisome it becomes for buyers... As you can see by the responses above.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I test drove the G anyways. Ah man it was garbage! The car felt like it was going to fall apart. The brakes were grinding, the shocks were blown, the engine was making weird noises, the alignment was way off! It was ridiculous! As soon as I got back to the dealership, I told the salesman that the car is jacked up and good luck with the sale. LOL! The only good part about the G was the exterior! It was immaculate!

^ LOL, welcome to the G35. All that you experience is NORMAL. Remember this is a Nissan in Japan. So don't expect it to be a quiet and luxurious ride like the Toyota Avalon.

dang that is a nice lookin one, appears to be taken very good care of .... cosmetically. but to me, i’d much rather have peace of mind with well taken care of mechanics over body - but i’m a bit obsessive when it comes to all aspects of my car so i couldnt side on either! Good Luck in your search amigo.

Keep in mind that dealers are very good at hiding chips and scratches in the finish. Run that car through a car wash a few times and you may well find it wasn't quite as nice on the exterior as you thought it was when it was on the lot.

I have a preference for buying from individuals instead of car lots. Generally there are much better deals to be had, and private sellers seem to me to be more honest about a car's history than some salesperson. Out of fourteen vehicles I've owned, only two were purchased from a dealership.

Good luck with your search. There are better cars, and better deals out there if you are patient enough.

Did you check the classified section here? Sometimes there are some deals there.

just to give you an idea, i bought my 03 coupe with brembos, 80,000 km's (canadian) so about 50,000 miles, original owner car (i am the second owner) for 14,800 canadian (which at the time was 13,xxx in USD). all maint current with records, a few small dents that i got removed for 120$

in 9/10 condition interior and exterior with absolutely everything functional with the exception of a burned out stock cd unit which is common with these cars....
