If you make up your mind to get into a lane, DO IT! Don't second guess yourself. If some bozo 3 cars back floors it, he can let his foot off of the gas while YOU FLOOR IT. Never, I repeat, Never second guess yourself. If you made a logical and good decision to go, GO!

I understand why the guy gunned it, he didn't want to get rear ended. By someone pulling 1/2 way into his lane, then stopping, he was really concerned he was going to get nailed. His actions might not have been justified, but (in my best Chris Farley voice) "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD"... GO SON!!!

 

This thread and thread title reminds me that pretty much everyone thinks that they alone are the best/most perfect driver. Everyone else either drives too slow like grandma, or drives too fast like some crazy mother'eff'n ahole.

Don't get me wrong, I agree there are some pretty bad drivers out there... (everybody but me of course).

u know..I think some people just don't care how good or how bad they drive..
I think I'm a good driver..sure I make mistakes..everyone does..if you think you don't..think again..its those people that make the least mistakes are the good drivers...

and too me..driving wa they called with the law is sometimes too cautious..which you call slow drivers...

It happens so often on 315 that they have signs posted what to do if no one is hurt. Today I about hit a woman that had NO BREAK LIGHTS, when we went from 55 to 0 in seconds!

It made me so mad, that the kind gentle person that I am, almost lost it and called her something very very, not nice!

But really, I hope her POS car spontaneously combusts w/ her in it!

Story of my life painted so perfectly by you guys. Commuting from OC to LA everyday on 405 is always fun.

I love those people who speed up when you signal, I love those people who cut in front of you at much slower pace then slam on the brakes, and i love those people who tailgate me. Come on, everyone say it.

I especially love the people who can merge behind you with a complete empty lane but he has to squeeze in the tight spot in front of you. I love them!! This world is full of nice people.

 

It makes me want to buy an old f150 and weld on a lead bumper and spikes!

 

I just assume that most people are idiots and take it from there. I realize more and more everyday that about 75% of the people out there are just stupid.

 

You should see it here in Florida. Normally it isn't too bad but we haven't had working traffic lights for seven weeks. Every time they fix them, another hurricane comes by and rips them off the lines. I'm not sure where they end up (probably as souvenirs). When the lights don't work or are missing, it’s supposed to be a four way stop. However, it’s more like a four way go while dodging crossing traffic. When the lights are blinking yellow, there is no need to stop, but people do it anyway. Then you have all these huge trucks carrying tree branches, logs, scrubs, with no back gate dropping their load all over the street. There are fence pieces that are full of nails, branches that won’t clear our G35 bumpers, and people driving 55+ mph into oncoming traffic on a 35mph road to avoid the debris. It’s crazy out here.
