In my recently delivered coupe there is a small rectangular compartment molded into the plastic at the right side of the trunk below the removable side cover near the jack. It has a downward slope to it and seems to have molded snap-in holds. To the right of this there is another small molded compartment with a snap-in which looks like it would hold a circular object about 1" in diameter. Anyway both of these compartments are empty although they certainly were made to hold something. My dealer claims ignorance. Of course there is a jack and handle in their places. Can anyone tell me if there cars came with something in these spots or what they might be for?

 

Let's compare TOOLS hahahaha. Here's what I've got in my Coupe:
I saw the empty spaces and don't know what goes in them.

Yeah that's all I have also. Strange wonder what those other compartments are for? They sure look like they were designed to hold very specific shaped things. If no one has any idea on the forum I will call Infinity USA just for kicks.

Just a wild guess...possible one of them is for the wheel lock key?

Actually I am using the round holder for the wheel lock after wrapping some tape around it so it would be secure but I doubt that is what it was for. I will call Infinity USA tomorrow and try to solve the mystery as to what they planned to include but apparently decided against.

 

maybe a small electric air-pump, or a can of fix-a-flat goo
