Well it happened ....

In an earlier report in the SE Forums I posted about the theft of headlight housings on the rise in Southern Florida. Well these blatant dickwads did it to my car this evening. They stole my passenger side light housing and in the process did a wonderful job on my front right quarter and bumper. At least they coulda been slick about it and pop it out cleanly... [censored] if you're gonna do something do it fckin right.

Anyhow, just wondering what kind of damages am I looking at?
1 Light Housing
1 Front quarter panel passenger side needs to be repaired or replaced,
1 bumper (assuming they just replace the entire bumper) in which case I might as well get something nice haha..

Will the insurance company work with my dealership on repairs?

Thanks for your help in advance....

A bummed out G35 Owner,
Greg

p.s. this is a double post from the SE forums trying to get a good feel at what kind of costs I'm looking at.

damn dude, sorry for your loss...

i know that a brand new front bumper, painted and installed runs about $600. so an aftermarket bumper is kinda out of the question...

are you gonna go thru insurance?? i think maybe you should...

04 / Black on Black / aero / splash / prem / perf / cc / 22%tint
z-tube / k&n drop-in / Stillen anti-sway bars / side-blinker mod
Eclipse AudioVideoNavigation 2454 / 10W6 sealed + 250/1 (temporary)

Re: Well it happened ....

Funny you should ask...I had an idiot F-up my ride and it just went in for repairs. It needs a new passenger headlight (HID), new front fender and new front bumper. In addition, the dealership will be doing some blending in the hood and maybe the door to ensure color matching. I went with a GReddy front, but for all stock parts with paint and labor it would've come to just over $2400 down here in Dallas. Hope this helps, chin up.
