Infiniti Lettering

I did a full wash and got everything clean. Then I took some dental floss and used that to "cut" away the adhesive behind the lettering. I did this for everything, letters and the Mt. Fuji.
Afterwards, you're gonna have some of the thick adhesive left over. So I took some Goo Gone and applied it to the left over adhesive. I let it sit for like 10 minutes and proceeded to carefully wipe it off so I wouldn't scratch my paint. Whatever goo that was still left, I repeated the same process again until it was all gone.
Then a friend of mine buffed my trunk and got the remaining silhouettes out.
Happy debadging.

I debadged everything but the Mt Fuji when I bought my G new, just recently I decided to get rid of that too. With 85 degree weather, fishing line and GooGone it took 45 minutes to remove everything but the shadow. I used everything in the cabinet including compound which I've never recommended along with my orbital buffer. It just wasn't perfect enough so I went to our local carwash and asked them to hit it with a high speed buffer. Within a very few minutes it was flawless....success! Just as he was finishing a guy walks up and compliments me on my coupe asking, "Is that a Lexus?" That's the reason I left the Mt Fuji on all this time.... Love the totally clean look much better.
