I run 245/35 on front and 275/35 on the rear (OEM 19s) with absolutely no problems at all. There are plenty of threads about this on here, and a lot of various opinions on the subject. Its funny to me that some will say 275s are unsafe because they're not recommended, yet will praise those who stretch a 225 onto a 10" wheel.
IMO the best sizes would be a 235/40 in front and a 255/40 in back, that way the tires would be a little wider and just a tiny bit taller too (which, with the bad roads I deal with in AZ, would help the ride/save the wheels a little bit better). However, hardly NO tire companies make a 235/40/19 (even though they are a OEM size for some BMW models) I think just Bridgestone, and they are expensive and I don't think they make a 255/40 for the rear.
Anyway, sorry to rant off topic, bottom line: I like the 275s on the rear, they handle just fine (not squishy like some would suggest) and I consider them perfectly safe (have never seen/heard of any Evidence to the contrary). We're only talking about 20 mm of width here (over the 255), 10 mm more rim overhang per side of the wheel, that's very little.

No I won't have any problems or no don't do it?
These sizes seem like a safe yet a touch more aggressive than the OEM tire sizes. How is this setup treating you? Is the fender/tire gap increased, decreased, or the same as the OEM tire sizes?
I checked on 265's and even the tire specs on this size call for a 9-11" wide wheel. So if I'm going to go against the tire manufactuers specs then I'm going to go all out and get the 275's.
