I've seen some Skyline badged G35's and i dont think it looks terrible.. ppl might see it as misleading, but it really comes down to the fact that the G35 is indeed a rebadged Skyline.. its the exact same car, just different badging.. No matter how you look at it, you have a Nissan Skyline 350GT.

I dont see why people are so rough about the Skyline emblem... I mean, if you like the Infiniti badging, thats great.. if you like the Nissan badging, thats great also.. It's all in the eye of the beholder..
The only thing holding me back is the fact that most people in the U.S. associate the "Skyline" name plate for something that is much more performance oriented and packs a bigger punch than this "G35".. But fact of the matter is that this IS a Skyline, Nissan MADE this vehicle a Skyline, so why hate on the name so much?

Me personally, my car came with all its emblems removed except for the interior of course, and it's looking pretty dull to me.. Clean, but dull.. and if I was going to decorate the trunk with badges, i probably won't go back to putting on the infiniti insignias, but rather maybe a simple 350GT or something.. Haven't decided yet.

 

the Nissan and the 350gt badge is okay, but personally i wudnt put the skyline emblems..just de-badge it fully for a cleaner look

its like an Acura RSX changing its badge to a Honda, IMO its rice if they badge it an integra type R

 

well the question is, is the integra type r and the RSX type S exactly the same in terms of performance and package? If i recall correctly, they're not.. so yea, i'd consider that to be sorta ricey too.. like putting an STI badge on a WRX... even if the WRX was modded to be faster than the STI in its stock form, it still wouldnt make it OK simply by the fact that there are still some mechanical differences between the 2.. starting with the transmission at the least.

I do like that 350GT badge though.. it gives the rear a bit of life from an otherwise bare and lifeless trunk (badgeless)..

 

Don't see a problem as long as it is completely badged one way or the other. Keep it consistent. If you have Infiniti Skyline then...well...

Picked this up today ! All done with the OEM JDM swapping, just have to redo leather seats and im totally done ! WOOH

So far i re badged the oem wheels, exterior badging, door sills, steering wheel, engine cover, just painted my clock black

They did it for the same reason everyone else did, to offer a base entry line and a luxury line, ie.. Ford > mercury > Lincoln or Chevy > GMC > Cadillac etc...

 

it's rice, no doubt about it.

 

 

You pretty well have your answer 3 to 1 against rebadging as a Skyline, however it is your ride if you want to spend the $$ on Nissan emblems and letters go for it! It's not my "thing" cause I love the clean uncluttered trunklid without all the bull ****....Gary
