sorry couldn't find my answer in search... about smart key..

Ok first im going to sorry everyone, after looking through the forums i couldn't really answer my question

i just bought a used 05' G35 Automatic Coupe, and when i bought it it only came with 2 keys and no remotes or anything and i keep seeing in the forums about smart keys, i keys, and keys keys lol im getting confused lol

my question is how do i know if my car is able to have those kind of remotes? i hate having to jump into my nice car by unlocking it from the door...kinda sucks and embarrassing feels like im back when power lockers weren't available lol and getting out of the car i alwasy have to double check the door to make sure i pushed the lock button on the door lol what remotes can i get for my car just a regular lock unlock or smart key or i key ? is smart key the same as the i key? lol sorry im a noob at this

thanks in advance

If there is a rubber button on your door handle, then you can use an Intelligent Key. It will allow you to walk up to the car (key in pocket) and press that rubber button to open the door. You can also start the car without using a key. There is a "DIY Key" section on this forum that will tell you how to program the regular key fob to unlock your doors if your car is not equipped with the Intelligent System. Look on Ebay for the regular key fobs. They are easy to program. The Intelligent Key, on the other hand, will have to be programmed by a dealership.

Key Fob is the search you want to do on Ebay. Check for that soft rubber button on your door handle first. The other "FOB" is slang for "fresh of the boat" and that is another story. The Intelligent Key is silver and has a REAL metal key that pops out. The key fob is just the black oval shaped device with "Lock, Unlock and Trunk"
