Quick Offset Question

I have Stock 19 OEM Rays. Whats the offset on these? If I buy a set of rims, the same size with a +20mm Offset, will that be more aggressive, less, or same?

The specs on OEM Rays 19s are:

8.0 +30
8.5 +33

If you get the same size wheels with a +20 offset it will be 10mm more aggressive up front and 13mm more agressive out back. Are you sure the widths of the wheels you are looking at are the same as the Coupe 19s? 8/8.5 is not a common staggered setup for aftermarket wheels.

Nope, i guess i was wrong, they are either 19x8 or 8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear

THE SITE SAYS FRONT ARE 19X8.5 BUT EVERYTHING I READ ABOUT THE WHEELS SAYS THEY ARE 19X8 FRONT AND 19X9.5 REAR WITH +20 MM OFFSETS

If they are are 8.0 +20 / 9.5 +20 then the front will be 10mm more agressive and the rears will be 26mm more agressive than the Coupe 19s.

Okay, that sounds good, may still need some 15mm spacers for the front and maybe 5mm for the rear to get them close to flush then

With a 9.5/10.5 setup, which is common for coupes depending on your tire size, ride height and camber you want to be in the teens or single digits to be flush. Negative offsets to be really agressive. So since this is a 8/9.5 setup I would say you should look to be in the low single digits or negatives to be flush.

The coupe guys can give you better advice related to this.

Well, the offsets on the wheels I want are +20 so thats why I figured 15mm spacers front and maybe 5mm rear. Is that right?

^You must also consider the widths of the wheels. A wider wheel at the same offset will stick out further than a skinner wheel at the same offset. With 15mm and 5mm spacers that setup would be less agressive than mine and I have a Sedan.

Okay, then Im totally loss. I thought with the width of the wheels Im getting and the offset they are, they would be more aggresive than my stock already, so I figured I would be pretty close to flush with that setup

^Yes they are more aggessive than OEM Coupe 19s but the point I was trying to make was that a 8/9.5 setup is too skinny for a Coupe. You should be looking at 9.5/10.5 setups. With a 8/9.5 setup you'll need lower offsets than a 9.5/10.5 setup to be flush.

Need more info to determine if it will be "flush". What tire sizes are you planning to run? How low are you? Are you fenders rolled? What is your camber set at?

candlestick is right
for example

19x8 front wheel with 20mm offset will sit 10mm more aggressive than a stock wheel
19x9 front wheel with 20mm offset will sit 22.5mm more aggressive than a stock wheel

basically if you have two wheels with the same offset and the only difference is one is 1 inch wider you gain 12.5mm in stance towards your fender.

not 25mm which is one inch, you gain half an inch on the inside of the wheel towards your suspension and half and inch more aggressive towards your fender when you go to a one inch wider wheel

pretty much to give you an idea of what is gonna get you flush we need to know

Stock fenders or rolled?
do you have a drop?
any camber adjustments?
size of both front wheels and rear wheels

then you will get more accurate estimates to what your offsets should be, depending on if you want to stretch your tires alot or not

Stock fenders not rolled
No Drop Yet, but will be on Tein Basics Most likely which I think is 1"
No camber Adjustments
Going to use the tires that came on my stock 19"s which depending on how wide I go will create a little stretch.

I appreciate all the help. I think Im starting to get the offset thing a little better. I was thinking that the 1 inch wider would put me one inch towards the fender, not realizing half on each side. That def makes more sense.
