had an accident need a new front bumper. told the body shop i wanted to go aftermarket with a poly nismov2. they stated they would not give me warrenty on any after market bumper because of paint peels,chips,cracks on all aftermarket bumpers they have painted and fitment is always an issue. they do awsome work porsche/audi refer all theyre customers their. have had some work done there in the past (rear ended) quality work. planning on ordering from ARCH INDUSTRIES since they guarantee fitment but do i have to worry about paint issues?

 

If they did quality work on your rear end then you should be fine. You don't see paint peeling/chipping do you.

 

I'm a little confused...are you ordering the bumper already painted from Arch? Or just ordering the bumper from Arch and having it painted at the other shop?

If you're getting it painted by Arch, there have been some issues with their paint jobs in the past, but the majority have been good.

If you're taking it to another shop (which you say does quality work), then any paint issues just depends on if they correctly prep/paint it and doesn't really have much to do with the bumper itself.

Btw, no aftermarket kit will fit 100% without any modification to it.

 

Was gonna get just the raw bumper only because I figured color match would be better. But no warrenty on paint becuase it's aftermarket caught me off guard. Think I might just have it shipped already painted. Just sounds retarted why would anyone manufacture a bumper that paint won't stick to. Had front bumper replaced with stock four years ago and paint has been flawless aside from obvious rock chips.
