homemade hikkatadori trunk?

I am really in love with the hikkatadori trunk and i am dying to have it i just cant bring myself to spend the 700 to buy it and spend another 300 for paint.. so im just wondering if there r any other options. Im pretty handy with body work and im wondering if it can be made at home with some plastic and bondo or if there r any other cheaper options to get the same clean look

I know there r ppl on here that sell hikkatadori products and this is nothing against them or the product i just cant justify spending 1000 on a trunk..

Thanks for the help in advance guys

Hikkatadori

I would do the same thing that you're considering doing, but I don't have anytime to complete a project like that. However, what most people do these days is they buy the lip separately and use bondo to make the lip and the trunk be one. You're gonna need a lot of bondo bud.

Btw, do you know who sells the hikkatadori trunk? Im interested in buying one.DOMO

you could get a gialla spoiler and mold it to OEM... but gialla's not exactly cheap though unless you can find a good deal used

^ I think that's how the trunk was inspired.. Someone (one of those vendors?) molded the spoiler to the trunk, turned out to be a BAMF, then created a 1-piece trunk with a lip off the end and became rich.

IIRC, that's how the trunk was made. I ride g had her gialla spoiler (might of been a replica) molded to her trunk and the mold was made using her trunk.

Just throw the hikkatadori on a credit card and stare at your car for hours in awe...
