yellow exclamation (sp) point on dash?

On my way to work this morning, 3 minutes into my drive this loud annoying and almost defining constant beep starts going off and a yellow exclamation point light turns on my dash. Shortly after the light turns on, the noise stops. Does anybody have any idea what the hell happend this morning? I dont really have access to my owners guide right now as i am at work and i did a search which came up with nothing....please help! BTW i put on an injen CAI almost a month ago.

Oh no. Is the light yellow and does it have a triangle with an exclamation point inside of it? If so, you're screwed...

Sounds like low tire pressure to me. We'll be seeing more of these as the temps drop.

This indicates low pressure in one of your tires...now, if you've upgraded your wheels and did not tranfer the tire pressure sensors to your new wheels, this will happen every once in a while for no particular reason. Actually, for me it happens when I set the cruise control and stay at a certain speed for any amount of constant time.

2 G or not 2 G, there's no question!

Re: yellow exclamation (sp) point on dash?

If the dash light turns on AND it beeps loudly for like 10 seconds, at least one of the tires needs air.

If you change wheels and do not move the tire pressure sensors, the light on the dash comes on after driving for a while (20-40 minutes). But this does not make the car beep.

So, long story short - If the car beeps at you for like 10 seconds, and the dash light is on, you need air in your tires.

Re: yellow exclamation (sp) point on dash?

I was just driving for about a minute when an exlamation point comes up (kinda yellowish i guess but not in a triangle, its on the left side of the speedo) and that same loud continuous beep sound. Keep in mind I got my G on June 21st and has like 4600 miles on it so far.. I looked in the owners manual and it said "Low Brake Fluid Level" ...isn't that suppposed to last a LOT longer than 3 months?? I don't think its the tire pressure one like what was mentioned before and I checked them all with no problems.....sooo does anyone have any ideas besides just checking the fluid? Could it possibly be leaking?? If I can't find anything tomorrow I'm gonna take it to a dealer and have them check it out..

My low brake fluid symbol is a red exclamation mark surrounded a small brake shoe. (mine is an '03-- could be a difference).
Sounds like there is a problem with yours and that you need a trip to the dealer to evaluate.
You're right, after 3 months, there should be no problems.

Re: yellow exclamation (sp) point on dash?

I was going to back home from work and the light came on. I went in the garage looked at the manual and says low tire pressure, i was very angry even though it can be fixed. Prolly because i had my car for 5 months with 2,170 miles. I called the dealership and the service guy told me to check the pressure and put air in it to about 35 PSI and i went to the gas station and i had a little above 30 but not 35. So i fill it up and the light STILL DID NOT GO AWAY. I called them back and then it took about 20 minz 6 phone calls for me to reach the service guy.

Set an appointment tom for the tire sensor and oil change.

Re: yellow exclamation (sp) point on dash?

Low tire pressure warning goes off when one or more tires is below 28 psi. Note, 18" tire requires 35 psi, 17" tire 30 psi. Once you fill up tires, you must drive at least 25 mph up to 3 minutes before alarm will reset. Finally, remember to check tires cold to get most accurate reading.

Other times you'll get an alarm:
- When you have no tire sensors on car equipped for them (e.g., you've upgraded wheels without installing sensors).
- When temp drops causing corresponding tire pressure drop

The good news is: you spelled "exclamation" correctly...

Re: yellow exclamation (sp) point on dash?

Funny, I just got the low tire-pressure light tonight too. I checked the tire pressure and it seems that the front passenger side is a hair under 30 psi (all others are right at 30 psi). It did get cold today though, so maybe that's the reason for the warning. I'll have to check it tomorrow morning to see if the tire is flat.

You'll think differently if and when your low profile tires eat pavement.
