i wanted to police to press charges against her for leaving the scene especially because she was drunk. and here in maryland you can look up all court cases for anyone in the state. and this girl has had 2 prior DUI Charges which were both dropped because the cop didnt come to court. so i figured she at least deserves a hit and run. but no luck from the police they didnt want to be bothered

I am glad to hear that you have a positive attitude about what happened. In CA a hit and run is a felony. If she does have a record, AND the cops don't want to do anything... I would call the local newspaper. See how fast things turn around. Everyone makes mistakes, but not making the same dangerous mistake over and over. Props to the people that took the time to leave you a note.

You are all being to harsh on the driver's looks. It could be a bad picture. We should see a picture of him with make up on and in the red bikini.

Yeeeeeeesh...
Im glad they left you a note with some information.
My friends 37 went through same ordeal. I believe it was a month after he got it.
After seeing the note on the windshield he stopped throing a fit.
All the note said was, " Sorry I Hit your car, bye."
Im guessing the perpetrator hit his car, noticed that there were witnesses.
Got out the car and wrote the note so the witnesses would not try to get involved.

On your car there's obviously no frame damage, so you should be smooth sailng, after waiting for your insurance company to get to business.

Wish you the best.

lol no way at all i went through my insurance lol. that would have made my rates go up. even just making my insurance company file the claim against theirs would make my rates go up. so i had to do everything myself through her insurance company.

but yea the part where she hit me there is literary nothing behind the bumper lol the bumper was almost repairable but there was a part where the metal rear bumper underneath pierced the plastic bumper cover but there is n damage to whats underneath.

the worst part was dealing with the insurance adjuster. i had already gotten a price quote from a shop that i know does good quality work. and he looked at it and said it was outrageous. he then tried to explain to me that color matching the bumper to the quarter panel was useless. because they were 2 different materials and could never be the same.
i told him thats why you color match because they are different, and if you don't they wont come close to matching. and the repair job will look like garbage.

You should've got a heat gun/ hair dryer and heated your bumper up, and pushed it back out with gloves.
