My hit and run story...

yea so my car was parked outside of my apartment and saturday night around 10:00 PM someone hit my car. and left a dent about the size of a bowling ball in my rear bumper. the person fled and left no information.

Luckily someone saw them do it and left the following note on my car for me to find

"We saw who hit your car last night at around 10 pm 7/10/10 it was an old honda license plate 9dfy26 a guy was driving and he looked like a drunk ***. he backed into it. Good luck =)"

so i called the cops immediatly. they came out and i filed a report and the officer ran the license plate giving me their name address and insurance provider.

long story short I talked to their insurance provider and wanted them to pay for the damages to my car. they contacted the owner. the insurance company then called me back saying the owner's daughter had admitted to being at the apartment that night and left but she didnt think she hit my car just got close(BULL****... the dent was huge. the chick was drunk) so she drove off. and then the followed up by saying that she had short hair which is why the witness thought it was a man driving.

this was enough to make me curious so I facebooked her. and this is the pic of her:

oh and in case your confused with the photograph.... its not a pic of a girl and her boyfriend. thats two Girls... and the one on the left is the one who hit my car. notice she isnt a man but is infact wearing a bikini top.

when i saw this i nearly died laughing!!! then i showed my roomate and he started to cry he was laughing so hard.

what you should get out of this story? always look on the bright side and try to find humor, because it makes a ****ty situation slightly better LOL.
As for logistically her insurance is covering the damage. and until my new bumper arrives, i was able to poke it out with a stick. its a little lumpy, but it is not nearly as much of an eye sore. Im thinking about throwing on a shocker sticker to cover it temporarily as a joke.

here is what it looks like now that i have pushed out the bumper with a stick(see stick in picture):

I am going to be replacing it with a CS style rear bumper. I'm waiting for arch industries to make it in Polyurethane. They have been very helpful but i have to wait 5-6 weeks for them to be made. but mine is already preordered. also i happen to have a Hikkidori(dont know how to spell it) trunk waiting to be painted and installed. ill probably get it done at the same time.

Hahaha sucks to hear, but luckily someone saw it happen. Maybe get a new CS rear?

And since you're getting a new bumper, you should try doing this and record it for us .

Good read and sorry about your car. Thank god for good Samaritans. This same thing happened to me at a club but a lot worse. Came outside to find my new car had the entire side crushed. These couple said, we know who did it and here's their info. They backed into it with a big Dodge Ram going about 30. Drunk as crap too. Filed a report and got their insurance info from the cops like you did, filled with their insurance co and they were also cited for leaving the scene of an accident.

Oops, I forgot that the bumper isn't metal, lol. Well if you have a can of compressed air lying around, try it out anyway .

I've been in 2 rear end accidents where someone else has bumped into me. Both times I got something else, first time I got new skirts (for my celica) then I got a new front bumper while replacing my rear bumper twice.

Dealing with the whole insurance process is a bitch, but I was happy for a free full veilside replica kit on my celica.
