When i start my car cold i get a high pitch belt squeak. It seems to get louder when i accelerate then it goes away after a minute. AC belt? SOmething i should be worried about?

 

Belts squeak when they get worn/dried out and yes that not a good thing! If you have the ability to replace them yourself go to Nissan and buy the OE belts, they seem to be better quality than aftermarket. If not have Nissan replace them for you, don't bother with the high $$ Infiniti stealerships!

Yeah def get your belt replaced, dont want that to brake while driving down the road.

 

yes it is the AC belt. I had mine replaced and it squeaked forever everytime i started my car inthe cold. expecting it go away after a few months, it never did and had it adujusted. it sqeauks when it very cold now but i believe thats due to the belt being damaged since i didnt fix it long time ago?

 

if ur belt is good tighten the powersteering belt more, if its cracking or wearing down then change it, drive it around then tighten it some more because the heat will expand it and you would need to retighten it the 2nd time to make sure its good... at least that's what i did

 

ye i just got my G a few weeks ago and like last week the belt started to squeek, its annoying as hell, brought it back the service center at the dealership i bought it from tried to fix it and put some lubricant on it or something, but he said if it continues just to bring it back and he will change the belt. when i start my car now its a minor squeek for like 2 seconds, im still gonna bring it tho to get it changed (for free cuz im still under dealer warrentee)
