Couple questions about tune up
Couple questions about tune up
I hit 71k miles on my 2004 coupe. Recently my car has been stalling when starting it up. This only happens when the car is warm. I searched the forums and most people are saying that it is either the MAF or throttle body. I'm going to clean that tomorrow. But, I have other questions...
When are you supposed to do a tune up? I've heard you do it after 100k miles, but I think I rather do it now and not have anything mess up and I get stranded somewhere. I almost got stranded today when the car didn't start. I got the car at 49k miles. Don't know if previous owner did the regular maintenance or not.
Second question, what is all that you have to do for a tune up? I know you have have to change the belts and spark plugs. What else is there? BTW, my car is AT.
I plan on doing the tune up myself. I've got some tools, but I'll get other tools as needed.
Thanks

I cleaned my Throttle Body and Mass Air Flow sensor. There is a DIY on this forum that shows you how to clean it.Try this site
