Wierd Speaker Problem - 04 5AT

Hey guys
So I just picked up a used 2004 G35 coupe. It has the bose speakers and theres a wierd problem with the speakers when I play CDs. The driver side door speaker (right next to my feet while I drive) does not work when I play CDs. When the radio is on, it works fine. Its the wierdest thing, I cant say that the speaker is broken, because it works fine with the radio on. I've tried different CDs and same thing. Is this a common issue? Is the CD Player gone bad? The right side speaker works fine, in CD or radio mode.

you have the same exact car as me and that exact thing happens to me. i think its loose wiring since it'll go on and off. what i do is either hit the side of the dash or just change the cd to a different spot. then it'll work for a little while until i have to do it again. it cuts off when i brake hard.

Hmm.. I got excited today because when I turned the car on, both speakers were working.. and after like 10 minutes of driving.. the left one is gone again...

anyway, seems like fixing this problem wont be cheap, as the dealership are expensive.. anyone know which ipod adaptor is good for the g35?

Hows the quality of that? I dont mind doing that but I heard that the sound quality of that is noticeably bad.. i dont mind if its a little worse than CD, but if I can notice it off hand, then its not really worth it.

Its the OEM headunit ...i bought a honda care warranty for 3 years when i bought my G 2 years ago and just recently had it replaced under warranty....same exact symptoms speaker cuts in an out only on CD's did the bang to the side of headunit then worked...

AND now it plays flawlessly thru all speakers!

SO either try and get yours replaced under warranty!! Rewire or replace headunit with aftermarket Double din or SOL and keep doing the pound the headunit dance...personally by the time I got sound thru all speakers i was already home an no longer wanted to hear song or CD

when i bought the car used I was offered 3 different types of extended warranties, i was told the Honda Care was the best option and its been wonderful I only pay a 100$ deductible for warranty work!!

IDK if you can only purchase the honda care warranty at time of purchase or not but thats how I got mine...

BTW according to the maintenance record/receipt I have the Nissan Price (work done at nissan dealer for me) the Headunit was 391$ with labor of 124$
