so im buying new rims and i wanna get some opinions and see if anyone else is running with these on. i have an 06 DG coupe and im getting the raderwerks ten-80's in black but i kinda wanna throw like a blue stripe on it. yay or nay? keep in mind im putting overlays on my side markers and tails and gonna paint my grille black so my car would be black grey and have the blue stripe on the rim and id go the full 9 yards and change interior lights to leds and tach to a white and blue. thanks guys

I'm not a big fan of all black wheels on our DG's. I think it takes away from the detail of the wheel. If you were gonna do black, do a polished lip and forget the blue TA stripe.

Just my opinion.

Curious though, what are the specs of the wheels going to be?

I feel like that about blacked-out wheels (and sneakers) in general.

The offsets are decent, not very aggressive though. They're pretty conservative for a coupe.

But I would highly recommend that the front be at least 9" wide and the rear 10" wide. At least you picked out some 19's... better then 18's I think. Remember though, if you're still wanting those widths for your wheels, with those offsets, your wheels will be kind of tucked and not flush with the fender.

Blue stripe isn't a bad idea, because you're right, not a whole lot of people do it. But, in my opinion, DG isn't really a color that you can match with your blue TA stripe. But these are just all my own opinions. I'm just posting what I think because you asked for an opinion is all, so I hope you don't take it the wrong way.

In the end, its your car, so you're going to do what you like. I just hope you don't regret it later is all.

to be honest... never really been a fan of blacked out wheels... but at the end of the day, make sure you like how your car looks (and women too)

Your OB coupe with these wheels and a blue stripe would look great. Others have red so doing blue would work too....WTF why not??

I say go with it and make it your own.

also add 15mm spacers all around.

I don't think your color combo is going to look that bad. All-black rims are just a matter of personal taste. Honestly though, I wouldn't want to drop a bunch of money on a set of rims that were only 9.5" in the rear, then have to run spacers on them. Your call though, cuz they are going to end up tucked in the rear with those offsets. Interested to see how the wheels look though.
