can you hear the motor is attempting to move the seat or it just no response when you were pressing the adjustment button?

this has happened to me a couple of times.... its an indication that the motor is going bad. Although u wont be able to hear the motor trying to move it is ( you can feel it getting hot)......just put your hand in the front and hit the motor pretty good while pulling on the button and your seat will start working again.....seems to only happen if u move the seat ALL the way foward

take front facia off the seat bottom (two screws). You should be able to see the motor the powers foward and reverse. Three screws on each side holds the drive motor to seat rails. Remove the six screws and unplug the motor and remove. You can manually adjust the seat with a 10mm wrench. You will need to alternate sides to keep seat moving rearward evenly.

Poloavirex,
Did you need to completely remove the motor for this to work? Or did you just remove the cover and twist the gears?

You just bumped nearly a 6 year old post. And he hasn't been active in 4 years. My friend had a fx35 and I had to install a new plastic gear in the motor for the seat to go forward and back.
