finally fixed the stupid vdc slip abs lights

After numerous ecu resets, fuild top offs, brake pad change i got the lights to go off after i swapped in new wheels and tires. The old size was 35 series front and 30 rear. Now its 35 front and rear. Interesting to note that the lights were still trippin out and coming on after a few minutes of driving. After about 2 weeks of driving they stayed off and havent come back on.

The dealer previously pulled a code off the ecu and said it was the brake master preassure sensor. I posted the code on here but for some reason when i search my posts i cant find the thread. Idk what to say but the lights are off now and have stayed off for the last week.

I nkina know what it is. Dealer scanned the car and it threw a code that was the mc preassure sensor or something like that.

Try replacing your brake pads? Worked for me.

Check your speed sensors. That was my problem.

It sucks though, because there are so many issues that can cause the abs/vdc/slip lights. Best of luck, let us all know if you find a fix!

could be the abs sensors. speed sensors aren't on the wheels. everything is on the hub. the abs is bolted down by a 12mm bolt. still on the warranty?

I had the same pressure switch code when my abs/slip/vdc lights were on, but it turned out to be a $35 brake light switch behind the brake pedal that was beginning to fail.

I didn't realize it was the culprit until about a month later when my brake lights started acting funny. After replacing the switch last year, everything has been great with no lights.

The only difference is that I drove to the nearest dealership with a friend following (because I had no brake lights) and bought the switch for $35. If I knew it was the culprit for the dash lights, I'd have ordered it for cheaper online.

I'm having the same problem. Just topped off my power steering fluid, and it went away for a week, and the lights just came on again today.

This seems to only happen when I have the VDC off tho. And I am noticing that the slip sensor is wayyyyyy sensitive.
