Exotic Speed R1-T Feedback Request

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I could get some feedback from the forum about the Exotic Speed R1-T exhaust's sound & loudness + preformance. I am planning to get this in the very near future.

What do you guys think?

1. I want to know if installing the Megan Y-pipe will make the car a lot louder?

I am concern about the in-cabin sound if I were to also install the Megan Y-pipe. This is because I am an auditor and quite often, I have to take my team / client out.

Does the R1-T create a loud in-cabin noise when the windows are closed and or on the freeway?

Can you easily communicate in the car on the freeway with the megan Y-pipe?

I have the 5/16 spcares, Mrev2 installed. I am not planning to put a after market intake or HFC.

2. What's the power like? Do you really feel it?

I know after Z garage installed my spacers and Mrev2, I can definately feel a difference.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know anything about the R1-T exhaust but I highly doubt it will be too loud with the windows up. I consider my exhaust to be loud but when the windows are up, I can easily converse in a normal tone. Test-pipes will make the car extremely loud, simply adding a Y pipe won't increase the decibel level that much. I don't think any cat-backs will allow you to "feel" a difference, the gains are minimal.

following up from our PM discussions so others may find these answers...

No matter what Y-pipe you go with, as long as you stick with the stock CATS you will be fine as far as in-cabin noise. Yes the exhaust will sound louder inside but nothing crazy. When I was running the stock cats the only time I would encounter the slightest bit of drone would be if i were in 6th gear going 60mph and gave it some gas..at which point you should be shifting down to 5th anyways if you trying to get the car moving any faster.

Now if you run test pipes, that is an entirely different story. Here's another clip of my car with test pipes on which make this exhaust significantly louder.

Never really looked into the megan y-pipe so cant say much about it but check out your options and do your research. Also, you should check out this new y-pipe that has come to the surface if you are primarily looking at cheaper y-pipes.

I run the XYZ pipe and absolutely love it, the quality is amazing and I actually got a good deal on it used. keep your eyes on the classifieds and remember RSS feeds are your friend.
