hey guys here is my issue.

My 2004 g35 coupe automatic transmission is stuck on the manual shift side but it is not in gear and it is not registering any gears on the dash display. If i pull the shift back to the left to go back into normal driver it gets block by something and wont let me do it. When i pull the shifter to the left it will register neutral on the dash but if i let go it goes back to nothing.

please help any info will help.

my car(exact same as yours) had this same problem. all we did was take it in to a shop and the guy took apart the middle console and fixed it in 2 minutes. i forgot what he did though.

 

someone just had that problem on here and showed how he fixed it. I remember he had to remove the handle on the shifter and remove the gear selecter plate.

 

do you use the manual mode alot on a daily basis

he also stated there's a metal piece you can jiggle under your car and it'll losen it up.
