siiiiiiiigh!!!

So I detailed my car today for like 3 hours.. Got it lookin real prestine like I do every week. I go out to pick up Starcraft 2 beautiful hot day great for a good drive to the local gamestop.. Was waiting in line in the parking lot behind this brand new Chevy Silverado when all of the sudden he starts backing up.. I slam my horn and he just keeps coming and rams into my bumper. His trailer hitch went right through my front bumper.. Thank god he has insurance.

Great day turned sad real quick!

I thought the same thing.. I have no clue how to go about that though. I mean his insurance is probably gonna get it fixed and they are most likely just gonna do the same bumper that I have.

Yesterday had a white silverado with pool cleaning supplies slam on his brakes at a yellow light which caused me to slam on mine. So im at the head of the line and hes in the middle of the intersection and starts reversing without watching. I lay on the horn when hes 3 feet from his hitch hitting my car and he slams on the breaks and I take a pool skimmer to the hood....

They are just cutting the check to the company that fixes it.

I would assume you could tell the repair place that you want this certain bumper and painted. As long as it is not over what they are paying you should be fine. I have had friends do this before.

I am sure someone will chime in on their experience.

What do you mean not worth claiming it? I won't have to pay anything.. It will be handled through his insurance.

What....B.S. when someone hits you it's their insurance company writing the check. He can get the bumper of his choice and have it painted/installed and it won't be on his record or cost him a dime....and don't forget the rental car the truckdrivers insurance will allow him to drive for as long as it takes to repair his coupe.

A Nismo bumper would work on your coupe, make sure it urethane not fiberglass. You can find those on our MARKETPLACE under vendor exterior.
Sorry this happned to your T/B coupe, enjoy spending their $$ for all the headaches!
