You can run 265s on your OE 18" wheels but why? You have a AT G35 and can't light up the 245s so what's the purpose? To make your ride handle better run 245s on the front too, that's a better

I'm planing to set twin turbo kit. So I need to know, what max wide tyres I can put on rear. I'm not sure, that stock wheel is wide enough.

If the wheel is 8.5" wide, then 265's should be the max. People have put 275's on that size wheel before but that just doesn't seem safe.

if your gonna invest in a turbo, i suggest a set of quality wheels first before that type of engine mod.

Actually the widest tire you should go on an 8.5" wheel is 255's per the tire manufactuer's specs. How do I know this? Well I just purchased new tires and wanted to go the widest I could on my rear 8.5" wide 19" Rays and was saddened that 255's were the max...granted many guys run 275's on their 8.5" wide wheels but this is frowned upon by the tire manufactuer's.

Maybe he wants to retain the stock wheels for a 'sleeper' look. Some people also prefer function over form.

^^I don't always follow manufacture specs, which is why I have 245's on the front of my car right now. But 275 is definitely too wide for the wheel. I would have to see the setup first to make a decision though.

Why would you want to install 265-275's on stock wheels? How is that beneficial at all?

I need wide tyres-because next step will be twin turbo kit.
Who knows exactly our stock wheels wide? 8 or 8,5?

2004 18" wheels are 8" wide.

More power with oversized tires = trouble... Stick to the tire manafacturer ratings. Even your insurance will balk if there is an accident involved.

More rubber = more traction.

OP, if your wheel is only 8" wide then go with 245's. Just throw a sticky set of tires on.

Actually more rubber + proper rim size = more traction.

^True. I'm going to see how the 255's fit, then I'll be able to see if anything wider is advisable.

TIRES should be round and black with a big hole in the middle!
