Quiet Lifters

I got an oil change at a local shop here and my car sounds a bit weird in the engine bay area… the technician told me to get some lifter quieter fluid? I “googled” and cannot find anything relevant to G35 and such. Does anyone know any oil additive that would quiet the lifters?

Thanks

Hmm i wonder if it is the same as bulkhead remover, chemlight batteries, a box of grid squares, roll of flight line, Eye-Dee-Ten-Tee manual, grinder polish, left-handed metric crescent wrench, gig line, mail buoy watch, a bucket of steam, a Machinist Mates Punch, a board stretcher, balloon hammer, lightbulb grease, or lightbulb wrench?

Can you be more descriptive? Was it an Infiniti dealer you got your oil changed at? I like everyone else have never heard of "lifter fluid", and Im sure the tech was being a smart *** to you.

can you only hear the sound after the engine warms up or is it constant. Were you driving when you heard this or sitting still with the car just running?

If its not under warranty I would still have them look at it. Remember, we have a 60K mile power train warranty (at least thats what I got, still a noob to Infiniti on some things). have them look and diagnose, if its something they cant warranty then put it on the place who did the oil change and they can pay for the damages. My ex girlfriend took her brand new WRX to a quick oil change place before we got together and they forgot to put her oil plug back in.

Hope that helps

Nice... BTW - its the India Delta 10 Tango form.

Check the oil level, if it is low you could hear a rattling type sound from the valve-train.
