I just emailed a guy on CL and he will be upgrading his exhaust soon and has a 08 350z. So hopefully I can get his HR-Y pipe for cheap...Now after getting that I have to find some Y-pipe back exhausts lol. to many choices. My last vehicle had was less choices which made it a lot easier to pick stuff to modify. So any suggestions on Y-pipe back systems? I know search search search... I am as well right now. THANKS for everyone's input so far

What is the fastest speed limit out there in Hawaii?.....if i was you i'd make it as aggressive as possible so springs and spacers for 400$ then wheels later once you save up more...what is 10 hp more REALLY gonna do for you??

Yeah I was talking about HFCs not test pipes. Test pipes are usually legal, HFCs are. And HKS ftmfw!

do yourself a favor and do 25mm in the front and 30mm in the rear if you go with the spacers...you only need the rear fenders rolled and then drop it...i Promise you'll be happier

Yeah I almost bought a set of Hotchkis lowering springs for $100 locally. But then I would have to spend like $300 on camber arms and then another $100 on an alignment. I rather get more bang for the buck now. I have owned the car for about a month now. So I have a long way to go. But it will soon be there. I did buy 2 sets of the 25mm spacers. If I need 30mm I will sell one set and buy another. Whenever I get back to the mainland I will be trying to buy the more expensive/heavier stuff thats cheaper to ship. I hate paying extra $ on shipping b/c I am in HI. I will be back on the east coast by the end of this yr or beginning of next yr.

Expect rasp from those test pipes. Get the plenum spacer and save up for ART pipes.

Personally, If I had $400 to burn, I would do this... Tein H-Tech springs. No Camber kit needed. Wont compromise ride quality and offers a more aggresive look than stock. That's comes in at a lil under 200 bux. With the remaining 200, I would get myself the Motordyne 5/16 Iso Thermic Plenum spacer. I have both on my car right now, with a few more mods.. A few more to come as well. But, I would Highly recommend these 2 upgrades. The total comes in at right about 400! Happy Moding.

So what is better G35 or 350z Tein H-Tech springs? I heard there are differences to our springs vs the 350z ones when ordering aftermarket ones.
With a moderate drop like that that would I need to roll my rear fenders if running OEM 18" wheels and 25mm spacers on the rear?

The Spec difference's are as follows.. Htech for the 350z.. Front .28 Rear .16 Drop. Spring Rate.. kgf/mm 6.4 lbs/in 330 Front. Rear.. kgf/mm 6.7 370
Htech for the G35. Front .6 Rear .3 Spring rate.. Kgf/mm 5.8 lbs/in 324 Front kgf/mm 4.7 lbs/in 263.

So what I gather from this is.. The Htech for the Z is a bit stiffer than the G35Htech, But the Drop isnt as aggressive. I can't speak on how the 350z Springs feel. I can only speak on the G35 ones... Personally I like that fact that the G springs are slightly lower than the Z springs while still maintaning the LUXURY ride quality you are paying for in buying a G35... And when you're ready to upgrade the suspension feel of your car, Slap sum sway bars in that bad boy and you'll find yourself smiling excessively while driving!

Oh.. And Im not sure about you needing to roll your fenders with the spacers. I dont think it will be necessary, but im not 100% on that.. I also have the stock 18' Rims on my Coupe and there is definetly enough clearance in the wheel well. I do not however have spacers... BTW. The fact that No camber kit is required after dropping your G on the H-tech's is a HUGE plus!!!! Hope this helps...

I think I will be buying the springs. My buddy has a spring compressor. So that's a plus. Also he wants to know does it use a macpherson strut?

Ok just an update for anyone who was helping me out.

I bought:
1: 2 sets of 25mm spacers (if 25mm in the back is not enough, will sell and buy 30mm)
2: Megan Resonated Test Pipes
3: 350z H-tech Springs

I will soon be buying the rear camber set, greddy front bumper, plenum spacer and some air filter upgrade. But those are my big first mods. I will definately be posting pics when I have everything installed. I have read about the whole Z spring not really dropping the rear that much and having to use the "cut mounting spring trick." I will cut the mounts whenever I get the rear camber kits in an installed. Any other words of wisdom I need to know about right now?

I thought the concensus was that the stock airbox is quite good, coupled with a K&N drop in filter or even the stock one.

I'm also very against using spacers, especially larger ones like 25-30mm in thickness. Maybe the hubs and suspension in general is stronger but when I had my S13...so many guys had problems using spacers.
