Leather cracking replaced by warranty experience?

Hi, my leather seat on both sides have many cracking marks on them. I went and called many different dealerships in LA area. Some said that's normal wear and tear, some said if not damaged human error, it's covered. Different dealerships have different diagnose standards. Anyone has same leather cracking experience and had it replaced by warranty? What's your story? Which dealership did you go?

Thanks.

If you're willing to put in some time just redye the cracking areas. Check out the picture in this link:

http://www.leatheriquecanada.com/gallery.html

This is the leatherique canada website cause that's where I'm located, but if you go to the US website you can order custom matched dye from them if you mail them a sample. There is loads of diy instructions on their website as well.

I will probably post a diy with my results once I attempt this on the cracking areas of my drivers seat in the next month or so.

are you talking about the area on the left side of the driver's seat that cracks on the area where the leather is right overtop of a plastic piece?

if so, mine is at the dealer right now, they are fixing it for me for free.... and by fixing, i mean ordering an entire new seat bottom valued at their price of $1500

i think there's a TSB for it

I find the leather really expensive compare to other parts. I know leather price range can go from $60 to $3000. Does that infiniti leather really worth $1500?

I believe the TSB only applies to 05-07 coupes.

just got mine back this morning.... whole new seat bottom (maybe just the leather, dunno about the cushion but it feels like it could be new too) totally free

service manager (who always treats me really well) said "the boss is outta town this week and it's usually him who has the final word on whether we replace stuff like this, but since he's gone we just went ahead and did it for you"
