It's a scam.

I played around with a craigslist killer deal also for $3200 G35. I knew it's a scam from the beginning, but was just bored that day and played along.

The female say's it's from her dead husband who died in Iraq last year and doesn't need the car anymore and that the car is in Texas ready to ship at the port.

I responded and requested to fly over to Texas and to look first hand at the car and pay her cash and drive it home.....then the female claims she works in a cruise ship as a dealer so we can't deal face to face.

She want's everything taken care of by Ebay. She Keeps asking for my name and address to ship.

This was the email address I responded to.

Any transaction the involves eBay but doesn't go through eBay is a scam.

This scam has been around for a long time. Remember if it seems to be good to be true it probably is.

That's why you should almost always deal locally. Having distance (out of state, or out of country, ie: Nigerian Scam, etc) allows for them to try to get away with a lot more.

there was a guy about 4 months back with this same offer. seems to be the same bc iirc they were asking for 4500 also and posted in the new york area and said they where in another state. they also had said that they would ship to you and get it within a few days. so SCAM!

I was selling a car a few months back and some guy wanted to send me a check and for the full amount without seeing it or anything. Told me friend would come drive it to the port. I played along for about 6 days or so. I kept telling him if he wanted my car he would have to send a certified check or money order. He never sent me anything. He tied his best lol

If it's being shipped from an ebay place it should have some type of reference number. I would could ebay and talk to their scam department and see if you can pull up some more info on him/her and about the car. Also, tell them that you would be willing to fly out and pick the car up and drive back and see what they say.

100% scam. Craigslist is my life and I seen them all day. Usually for honda's or Nissan's and they tell you they will send you a contract for ebay. You pay and they screw you! Use the golden rule...If it sounds to goot to be true, it probably isn't true! Also on CL, read this http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams.....tells you about it and most of it is true. I learned from personal experience! Hope this helps!
