Hi guys! New here, could use some help!

Hi everyone, I'm looking at buying a '04 G35 coupe.

Now before you continue reading, this car has a SALVAGED title. It wasn't in a terrible accident but I guess it was bad enough. The guy I'm buying it from has had it since '05 and has been slowly working on it. Everything is pretty much put back together and looks decent but therre are 2 major problems that I see.

1st, the top mount of the headlights where it mounts to the raditaor support are both broken. It looks like the radiator support is pushed back about 1/4-1/2 inch and when you force the headlight to bolt up, the strain ended up breaking the top mount.

Second, the driver side front tire is set at a real negative camber. the top of the tire is in alot more than the bottom. all of the control arms are new.

My questions are, can I push the radiator support slighty foward to accomidate the top mounting holes for the headlights?

And, is there any camber adjustment on this car so I can bring the driver side front tire back into specs?

Before I get bashed for wanting to pick up a salvaged car, just know I'm getting a great deal. I have an '01 BMW 325i with 90k miles that he wants to even swap with me. His car is an '04 with only 11k miles.

Any help would be great!!!! Here is the car:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpCP8...ature=youtu.be

listen to yourself homie, a dude with an 04 with 11k miles wants to trade for an 01 with 90k miles, that should scream red flag to you, I would walk away. The solution is simple, give the guy a deposit, take it to a dealership and have them run the 250 point inspection and see what they say, but from the looks of it, it won't be anything too good, or else why would the dude be trying to get rid of it so quickly and easily?

thanks for the reply guys!

The reason the guy is so willing to trade is because his car is salvaged. The car is an '04. He bought it smashed in '05 with 1000 miles. He was fixing it up slowley and using it the past few years, in the mean time he became a real-estate agent and was to busy to put any more time into the car.

So again, this is why he is willing to trade me. In order to get the car road worthy, i need to be able to align it (Neg camber due to accident) and I need to address the problem with the headlights top mount breaking.

Do you guys think I should trade and fix it? Can the neg camber be fixed? The rad support be pushed foward slightly?

I say steer clear and look for another G. If you're hellbent on this car follow the previous advice, take it to a dealer and have it thoroughly checked out. If you see 2 glaring problems who knows what else might be wrong with it.

Hard for us to look at a video and tell you it's a good car.

The suspension is clearly still damaged, and if the headlight mount keeps breaking then it sounds like something is bent in the front end.

Don't buy it.

I'm going to co-sign with what everyone else is saying. WALK AWAY!!!! He's feeding you a bunch of bull for why he wants to get rid of it. He wants to get rid of it because he's tired of dealing with trying to fix a salvaged vehicle. If it were cost effective to fix or the frame wasn't bent insurance probably would have fixed it for whoever crashed it. Or do as others have said take it to a dealer or collision shop and see how much they quote to get it back to original condition. If camber is way off and can't be fixed you're going to go through tires quickly.
