Probably a stupid question bat are Xenon headlights HIDs or are Xenon and HIDs two different things? I have a 2003 G35 Coupe with "Xenon Headlights" and was possibly looking to purchase different lights and was just wondering if they are "HID" or not?

diff. HID's are better. bmw's use xenons, they use a gas, hid's last longer. i was told they should last the life of the car. since yours is older i would buy some hid's from an 06 G they look clean as hell. i dont like the halogens

 

Youre car doesnt have the HID projectors. Like OG said you should upgrade to the 06 lights

as far as the replacement I think it is a standard swap. You can search them in the market place or ebay for sure will have some. search around...

 

I bought mine from Circle Infiniti. You should call and talk to Tony. He's the internet parts guy. They ship fast too. They are direct bolt on, however, you will have to take out the ballast and ignitor and swap them over. The ballast will bolt right on your new headlights. There will be a yellow wire behind the ignitor. I think its the ground. You won't have to switch it over. I'm glad I upgraded to the 06 projectors. Looks so much nicer and lights up the road so much better.
