Hey all,
I just moved into a new gated community. I was trying to program my homelink system to open the front gate at this place, but it doesn't seem to want to accept the frequency of the remote that I use to open it.

I opened up the remote and notice it uses a set of dip switches to set it's frequency (I think?). I am assuming this is one of those old systems. Is there any way to program one of the homelink buttons with this kind of remote? I remember reading through a relative's Cadillac owners manual and seeing instructions for setting up dip switch remotes on their "homelink" system, but can't find anything regarding it for Infiniti's system.

hm...if it's one of the old dip systems it should work. my old apartment complex had the dip system and it worked fine for me...i just followed the regular instructions for the homelink. maybe your complex uses the changing frequencies? if so you might need to talk to them to let you sync your stuff up.
