Tire Pressure Sensor Yes/No
So i'm looking to get new wheels here soon and I was wondering what most of you do. Do you remove your current tires and remove the tires sensor and get it put on the new ones or do you say screw it and leave it off? Also if you do that is there a way to turn the light off on your dash.
Thanks

Well this what I did when i got my rims I had the tps taken off the factor wheels and had them installed on the new rims.. The new valve stems that cam with the rims had a mount that attached the tps to the new valve stems.. I didn't have to reprogram them or anything they just worked. without any problems.
If your tps light is on in the dash u might be low on air in one of ya tires, so put air in all ya tires and see if the light goes off.. if it does then u prolly wont have the light on when u put them in your new wheels..
The stealership charges about 140 to reprogram the TSP or some crazy price

Depends on what type of rims you buy. Volks require an adapter to use TPMS. Some people have taken a small utility trailer wheel with TPMS sensors inside and left in trunk.
Broke as a Joke mentioned the dealership charges are around $125.00 to program a set of TPMS not originally equiped with car. If your TPMS are around 6-7 years old they will need to be replaced because of the battery inside.

You don't have to run an adapter. You can use straps also to hold the senosr to the barrel of the wheel. Not sure how you mounted the sensors in your SF Winning's Gary. Did you do it your self or have a shop to it? If so tell me how you did so for future customers I can mount them with out using a adapter. Never heard of a Volk GT5 so can't comment on those.

So i got my Sensors out..... and a light should have came on.... No light has come on yet. This makes me wonder if they are even working. I did call the infinti server center they asked if the Tire sensors were in the car when i was driving i said yes. They told me to go for a drive and see if it changes while they are out of the car.
This doesn't make much sense to me.
Help?!

i would definitely keep the sensors. i was on a long distance trip once at about 1 a.m. when i unknowingly picked up a screw in the left front tire. i noticed the dash light come on but figured it was just acting up. about 5mins later the car started pulling slightely to the left and as time went by it pulled harder and harder. luckily i was able to make it to the next town and luckily a gas station was open on xmas eve and had a plug kit i bought to temp fix the tire.
